Mentorship Program

Overview

Nate’s mentorship program will give you all of the tools to start successfully buying/selling/trading/investing in luxury watches. With the luxury watch market exceeding $200B, many individuals are “trying” to become part-time dealers. As you may have noticed, watch dealers are often extremely private about where they buy watches, how they secure new clients, and everything in-between.


It took me 2-3 years to learn these industry “secrets”, such as how to get into wholesale groups, how to ship watches for a fraction of the cost, and how to gain new retail clients. This program will give you every single tool/strategy/piece of information that I have ever learned in the industry. We will go through the ins and outs of what has worked for me and what has not.
 

Learn from my mistakes. During my first year of full-time dealing I was able to exceed $1M in sales and over $3M my second year. While I don’t recommend dealing full-time (trust me, we’ll get to this later), part-time dealing is fun and can be extremely lucrative. Getting into the watch industry was the best choice of my life.

Schedule

The sessions will last 5 weeks (5 weekly 1-hour meetings). All meetings are one-on-one with Nate and will be tailored to you specifically (capital, location, existing experience, etc…). After the sessions are complete, you will continue to have access to text/call Nate 24/7 for an additional three months with any follow-up questions/help that is needed.

WEEK 1: OVERVIEW OF INDUSTRY/BUSINESS SETUP:

  • Overview of next 2-3 months

  • Your story and your goals in the industry 

  • Part-time vs full-time dealing and how to approach this

  • Importance of building a brand specific to you

  • Legal entities and resell certificates (how to get one)

  • Website, google reviews, etc... 

  • Retail vs wholesale 

  • Stocking vs sourcing

  • How to approach margins

  • Working with ADs as a dealer? 

  • Capital breakdown and how to distribute it

  • Accounting 

  • Q/A 

 

WEEK 2: BUYING/WHOLESALE:

 

  • Where to buy watches. Review every group/platform I have ever bought from (pros and cons of each)

  • Pricing strategy. How to price a watch for yourself and for your clients

  • Which watches to stock vs source

  • How to properly negotiate with wholesalers

  • How to safely complete a transaction as a buyer (DON’T GET SCAMMED!)

  • Q/A

 

WEEK 3: DEAL LOGISTICS:

 

  • What type of payment methods will dealers vs end users use (bank wires, electronic transfers, e-checks, etc…)

  • Shipping. How to ship watches fully insured for a fraction of the cost

  • How to pack watches properly

  • Authentication of watches 

  • Red flags when buying 

  • Building relationships with suppliers

  • Storing watches 

  • Q/A 

 

 

WEEK 4: SELLING/RETAIL CLIENTS:

 

  • Retail vs wholesale clients and how to approach each

  • Where to sell watches (pros and cons)

  • How to gain new retail clients

  • How to safely receive payment for stocking vs sourcing deals

  • Down payments and how to use them

  • Gaining new clients on social media 

  • How to grow your social media presence

  • How to ensure return clients and referrals  

  • When to charge tax

  • Shipping to an end- user safely

WEEK 5: RECAP:

 

  • High level recap of most important parts 

  • Deep dive into specific areas of your choice (you come with a list of any watch related topics you want to go more in depth on)
